My name is Sam McNerney and I am originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. I graduated from Hamilton College with a degree in philosophy. After studying too much Descartes and Nietzsche though, I realized that my passion was reading and writing about cognitive psychology. Now I am trying to find my way by connecting popular ideas in philosophy and psychology to the rest of the world. I currently live in New York City. I contribute to the Scientific American guest blog and I am a regular columnist at CreativityPost.com. I maintain a blog called “Moments of Genius” on BigThink.com.
